It is advisable that all glue types are stored in cool, dark conditions. Exposure to moisture, heat, and direct lighting must be avoided to ensure quality of product.
Permanent
Permanent glue is generally the most used adhesive choice. Standard permanent adhesive is ideal for general purposes. This adhesive consists of acrylic (water-based) that gives a good adhesion to a wide variety of materials.
Suitable for materials such as paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, metal etc. Also suitable for lower temperature usage.
Temperature: It is recommended to apply labels with permanent glue in temperatures above 0ºC. After application, permanent adhesive is ideal in temperatures ranging from -10ºC to +65ºC. Shelf life is 2 years when stored in a constant temperature of 22ºC.
Extra permanent
Extra permanent adhesive is commonly intended for labelling applications on rough substrates. Standard permanent adhesive wouldn’t be strong enough for this. This adhesive consists of hot melt (rubber base) properties that have a very high initial adhesion.
Suitable for applications for strong deflecting materials, condensation or dust, normal to very cold temperatures, etc.
Temperature: It is recommended to apply labels that have an extra permanent adhesive in a temperature of at least 5ºC or higher. Extra permanent adhesive is resistant to temperatures from -20ºC to +50ºC. Shelf life is 2 years when stored in a constant temperature of 20ºC.
Removable
Removable adhesive (also known as peel-able) is suitable for general purposes. In contrast to permanent glue, removable labels can easily be removed without leaving any glue residue behind. This adhesive consists of acrylic (water-based) properties. It has good adhesion to a wide variety of materials. When applied in low temperatures (deep freeze) the adhesive becomes permanent. However, when the temperature rises, the adhesive becomes removable again.
Suitable for paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, metal etc.
Temperature: It is recommended to apply labels that have a removable adhesive in a temperature higher than 15ºC. Removable adhesive is resistant to temperatures from -5ºC to +60ºC. Shelf life is 2 years when stored in a constant temperature of 22ºC.
Freezer
Freezable adhesive is also known to be a super permanent hot melt adhesive. It has good adhesion to various materials and cold surfaces.
Suitable for applications where a very high initial adhesion is required.
Temperature: It is recommended to apply labels that have a freezable adhesive in a temperature above 0ºC. Freezer glue is resistant to temperatures from -40ºC to +60ºC. Shelf life is 1 year when stored in a constant temperature of 22ºC.
Ultra-strong
Ultra-strong adhesive is intended for labelling applications on rough substrates. The ultra-strong adhesive consists of hot melt properties. Hot melt is a type of glue that is rubber-based. This adhesive not only adheres excellently to e.g. floor coverings or curtain fabrics, but also to corrugated cardboard. Because this adhesive is applied thickly to strengthen the adhesion factor.
Suitable for: textiles, chemical bags, mattresses, etc.
Temperature: It is recommended to apply labels that have an ultra-strong adhesive in a temperature at least 10ºC or higher. Ultra-strong adhesive is resistant to temperatures up to +60ºC. Shelf life is 1 year when stored in a constant temperature of 18-23ºC. It is recommended that it is stored in ambient temperature 15-45°C and avoid exposure to UV and heat sources.
Ultra-removable
Ultra-removable adhesives are removable adhesives. This adhesive consists of acrylic (water-based) with excellent removability. The labels with ultra-removable adhesives are very easy to remove from surfaces without leaving any glue residue behind.
Suitable for: glass, paper, cardboard, plastic, metal etc.
Temperature: It is recommended to apply labels that have an ultra-removable adhesive in a temperature higher than 0ºC. Removable adhesive is resistant to temperatures from -20ºC to +50ºC. Shelf life is 1 year when stored in a constant temperature of 20ºC.
